Welcoming Reception

Venue: Global Lounge, HKU


Visit International Affairs Office when you arrive at HKU in Global Lounge (G/F Fong Shu Chuen Amenities Centre) to complete your registration procedures. You will also have the chance to mingle and chit-chat with your peers! 


Remember to go through the registration documents and submit your student card application form along with the required documents.


It is also your opportunity to sign up for our exciting Orientation Activities! Do not miss the chance! They are first-come-first-served only.

This is an orientation especially for the newly arrived non-local students. Apart from introducing you to Hong Kong, the University and our campus, you will also get to know other newly arrived non-local students on the occasion.

Discover the historical significance and uniqueness in Asia Society Hong Kong Centre - former explosives magazine compound of the old Victoria Barracks built by the British Army. You will have the opportunity to explore the former military structure and learn about its history. We will end the night with a delicious traditional Chinese dinner.

Temple Street Night Market Tour

The Night Market at Temple Street is a popular street bazaar in Hong Kong, it is the right place for you to experience the local atmosphere. You will get a chance to try the Dai Pai Dong restaurants and check out the market stalls with fortunetellers and tarot card readers, and Cantonese Opera singers.  Spend the wonderful evening with us!

Tsz Shan Monastery Visit

Tsz Shan Monastery is a large Chinese Buddhist monastery established for the preservation of the inheritance of the Dharma preached by Sakyamuni Buddha. The steel-framed bronze forged white statue of Guan Yin is the world's tallest bronze Guan Yin statue. Don’t miss the chance to learn more about Buddhism with us!
