HKU Summer Institute for Secondary School Students offers a wide range of courses for both local and non-local students, who are keen to pursue a study at HKU, have a taste of world-class university life and the unique culture of the University.
Our programmes for both local and non-local high school students aim to provide opportunities for students to explore their area of interests and develop their strength and potentials. Wide scopes of programmes are available including Arts, Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine, Science and Social Sciences, etc. Students can grasp the golden opportunities to experience university study, meet our teaching professionals and our undergraduates. As we continue to respond to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we regret to inform you that all our face-to-face programmes for summer 2020 will be suspended. This is a very tough decision to make as we were looking forward to meeting you in person at HKU! But as your health and safety remains our highest priority, we have decided to cancel all on-campus programmes and offer some of these courses online.

iJam Music Production
iJam Music Production is a creative music production course developed by Mr. Chiu Tsang Hei, an all-rounded and multi-talented famous music producer and composer in Hong Kong. He is also one of the most celebrated names in music and entertainment industry.
The course is designed to inspire students to make music creatively. With the use of iPad and specific software, students will be able to create some cool tunes and concepts in digital music making.
Young Medical and Healthcare Professional Summer Programme
This is a 6-day programme designed for S4 – S5 secondary school students to explore their potentials and interests in medical and health sciences professions. The programme will enable students to gain an insight into their career prospects and allow them to interact with Faculty members and leading experts. Students will also have chances to intermingle with current students from medical and related disciplines and learn more about university life at HKU.
