In consideration of applications for admission to senior year places, sub-degree graduates / final year students will be assessed according to their qualifications and achievements, irrespective of which community college they are from. Please note, however, that satisfying the basic university entrance requirements does not guarantee admission, as admission is on a competitive basis.

To be eligible for admission to senior year places, you should be

  • a current local student who will successfully complete a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programme of at least two years in duration from a community college in Hong Kong by August 2019; or
  • a local graduate of a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programme of at least two years in duration from a community college in Hong Kong and are not currently enrolling in any Bachelor degree.

Below candidates are not eligible for senior year places but can be considered for first-year entry of our programmes. You are expected to fulfill the Entrance Requirements listed here when applying for first-year programme.

  • Non-final-year students of an AD or HD programme from a community college in Hong Kong; or
  • Applicants who are currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree / higher degree programme in a local or overseas institution and would like to transfer to the University; or
  • Applicants who have once enrolled in a bachelor's degree / higher degree programme at a tertiary institution and completed one or more year(s) of studies, irrespective of whether the qualifications have been awarded; or
  • Applicants who would like to apply for direct entry to senior year places based on qualifications other than an AD or HD from a community college in Hong Kong, including AD or HD graduates / final-year students from an overseas institution and holders of a bachelor's degree / higher degree from a local or overseas institution.

Bachelor of Arts

Sub-degree graduates from all disciplines are eligible.

Candidates seeking admission to the majors of "English Studies" or "Language and Communication" are required to have achieved a minimum of Level 5 in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination; or an equivalent standard in another recognised English proficiency test.

Business and Economics

Bachelor of Business Administration / Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance

Sub-degree graduates should be from the same or a related discipline.

Candidates are strongly recommended to take either the IELTS or the TOEFL and good performance in one of the tests would be a great advantage.

Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Economics & Finance

Education

Bachelor of Science in Information Management

Sub-degree graduates from all disciplines are eligible.

Bachelor of Science in Applied Child Development

Sub-degree graduates of a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) in Early Childhood Education programmes in community colleges in Hong Kong which should be of at least two years duration.

Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Social Data Science#

Sub-degree graduates should be from a relevant discipline, such as Data Science and Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Applied Science, Social Sciences.

Candidates are required to have achieved an overall band of 7 in the IELTS or equivalent, and a minimum of Level 3 in Mathematics in the HKDSE examination or equivalent.
