Programme Aims and Features

The BEng(EngSc) (6951) degree aims at providing students a comprehensive engineering programme and equip them with multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills in engineering and other non-technical field.  The programme features a flexible structure with four areas (majors) of concentration:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Energy Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Materials Engineering

Professional Recognition

Graduates can apply for professional recognition in various engineering disciplines with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), subject to the relevance of courses completed under the BEng in Engineering Science degree to the discipline concerned.

Career Prospects

With strong demand for graduates with multidisciplinary knowledge and skills in both technical and non-technical fields, graduates of the BEng in Engineering Science programme will have an edge in their careers thanks to their broadened horizons and broad-based training, and be better prepared to embark on challenging careers in engineering, business, education or government.

Graduates of the programme are also well equipped to pursue further studies for postgraduate degrees in various disciplines.
