The Dual Degree Programme between the HKU Business School of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and UBC Sauder School of Business of the University of British Columbia offers students two distinct academic and cultural environments to earn two degrees from two world-leading universities in Asia and North America. This impressive HKU-UBC Dual Degree Programme opens the door for students to study on two continents, experience new cultures, gain valuable exposure and discover a rewarding career ahead. Graduates of this Dual Degree Programme will earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from HKU and a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC Sauder.

International exchanges and Mainland learning experiences
Students may join the HKU Business School or the University exchange programmes with over 360 prestigious partner institutions across continents, including top business schools. The School is also in partnership with different leading universities in the Mainland for students to acquire an in-depth understanding on the development and latest trend of the economics, finance, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in China.
The School provides ample opportunities to refine students' presentation and analytical skills in a myriad of local and overseas competitions with other students from the world's leading universities. Students are equipped with different skillsets through extensive training to analyse business cases.
HKU Business School students may acquire hands-on experience through different internships opportunities, including those offered by major companies in the local business market. Dedicated resources in career development and training are made available by the School to support students with their future career goals.
Leveraging the School's extensive network in the business and finance industry, the HKU Business School Mentorship Programme furnishes students with opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge essential for their future career development, through direct and active interaction with seasoned professionals, executives and entrepreneurs.
For Years 1 and 4, tuition and fees are paid to HKU. For Years 2 and 3 of the programme, tuition and fees are paid to UBC Sauder. Tuition and fees for both institutions are subject to change.

Students who have Right of Abode in Hong Kong: HK$42,100 p.a.
Non-local students: HK$171,000 p.a.

- Students accepted to the Dual Degree Programme will be considered for the HKU Foundation Entrance Scholarship upon admission to HKU. Separate application is not required. The scholarship may cover up to full tuition plus living expenses.
- Students accepted to the Dual Degree Programme will be considered for all applicable UBC and UBC Sauder entrance scholarships. Scholarship funds will apply during the years spent at UBC Sauder. More information on scholarships and financing can be found here.
|Accommodation||Non-local (non-HK) students: accommodation is guaranteed in Year 1. Students can apply online through CEDARS (Centre of Development and Resources for Students). The HKU-UBC Dual Degree is a direct entry programme, open to local and non-local applicants applying from a secondary school programme. This programme is not open to students with a previous degree or students who have already completed some post-secondary studies.
All students applying to the HKU-UBC Dual Degree programme must meet UBC's and HKU's general admission requirements and programme-specific requirements for the UBC Sauder School of Business Bachelor of Commerce programme and HKU Bachelor of Business Administration programme. Applicants must also provide proof of English language competency.

How to Apply
Applicants must submit two applications:
1. An online general application to UBC at you.ubc.ca.*
2. A supplemental application for the HKU-UBC Dual Degree programme.
Please note that in order to complete the supplemental application, you will be asked for the following information:
Name, UBC student number (this is issued to you once you submit your general application to UBC), residency, school, curriculum, email, phone number.
A 250 to 500 word essay describing the motivations that have led you to apply to the Dual Degree programme. You may explain how and why the multidisciplinary educational environments of the two universities will help you to achieve your intellectual, personal, and professional aspirations. You may also choose to explain how you foresee your involvement in campus life outside of the classroom.
Upload of one single PDF file which includes your TOEFL/IELTs scores if applicable, reference letters from the two referees named in the References section of your Personal Profile, and your academic transcripts for the last two years (2019-2020 and your first report card or most recent grades for 2020-2021 prior to the application deadline).
Note: Applicants who do not submit a supplemental application with the required upload of documents by the deadline will not be considered for admission to the Dual Degree programme.
*Submitting your required documents to UBC Admissions
Note that you are asked to send copies of your transcripts and English Language Test scores to both UBC Admissions and to the HKU-UBC Dual Degree separately. In order to complete the admission process, all applicants must also submit a set of their required documents to UBC Admissions by the designated deadlines; these documents must be sent directly to UBC Admissions. This allows us to process your application for the regular BCOM at UBC and the Dual Degree at the same time.
If you are unsuccessful in your application to the Dual Degree programme, you will automatically be considered for admission to UBC's BCOM programme and HKU's BBA programme independently.
