Lund University
Chan Lui (BSocSc, Year 4)

The academic culture in Lund University was very different from that in the University of Hong Kong. Students only have to attend lectures and no tutorials are needed. As a result, a lot of discussion and interactive exchanges of knowledge was included during the lectures. In class, interaction was more frequent as well, with students often asking lecturers the content they could not understand, as well as questioning the materials they have read with their own opinion and critical thinking. I believe this mode of teaching and learning is more effective because students can understand the material more thoroughly and can also make them think more independently and critically.
