One point that is worth mentioning is the highly interactive classes. Due to cultural differences, Canadians are more willing to express themselves than Hong Kong people, or Chinese. Therefore, students are much more willing to raise questions, and sometimes even challenge the professor. At first, I think it is a bit awkward to question everything in class since it could probably interrupt the learning schedule. However, I found that student’s question or opinion in class is in fact insightful and inspiring. This urged me to think more than what the lecturer has mentioned, and be more sophisticated towards the topic rather than wasting lecture time.
